“WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE!!??”

“Wha…? W-what…I…I…”

“ANSWER MERE MORTAL OR I SHALL STRIP YOU OF YOUR SOUL AND DINE ON YOUR FLESH AND BONES!!!”

“ I …I’m here for…I’m here…”

Knees tremble as his voice tries to mumble something coherent while the whirling creature peers through him like it could see his horrified and hidden soul.

“YOUR RELUCTANCE TO ANSWER MY QUERY IS PITTING MY PATIENCE TO THE VERY LAST DROP OF TOLERANCE! ANSWER NOW OR PRAY YOUR FORGOTTEN GODS!!!”

He gulps a deep breath and tries to form the sentence in his mind before uttering anything hoping to not anger the giant snake-like monster anymore.

“I found a stranger, a man outside of this very dungeon! He was very injured and asked me to find his apprentice!”

“WHY ARE YOU WEARING THAT RING??!!”

“He told me to take it from his severed arm! He said it would lead me to this apprentice…through the aid of some…symbol?”

“SEVERED ARM!? WHAT IS OF THIS STRANGER YOU SPEAK OF!?”

“I think he is…dead?”

“DEAD…”

“DEAD???!!!”

This is certainly a bite off more than he can even imagine to chew. He couldn’t have even dreamnt of a worse nightmare, ending up face to face with such a terrifying beast of power so early in his quest for adventure!

Does the title really sum up his journey alredy?
